How to shut down computer at night

The video walks through how to properly power down the Aetrex system at the end of the day. It begins by demonstrating how to access the menu bar on the left side of the screen and choose between two shutdown options: fully shutting down the computer and software or just closing the software using “Exit Albert.” After confirming the selection, the video instructs users to manually turn off the scanner by pressing its power button. Once both devices are off, the nightly power-down is complete. 

Powering Down at Night

• Go to the left side of the screen and click the menu bar.

• A drop-down list will appear.

• Scroll down to the two bottom options:

  • Shutdown — turns off both the computer and the software.

  • Exit Albert — closes the software but keeps the computer on.

• After choosing Exit Albert, click Yes to confirm.

• Either option is acceptable for end-of-day procedures.

Turning Off the Scanner

• Press the power button on the scanner to turn it off.

• Once both computer and scanner are off, the power-down process is complete.
